The 4gune cluster will coordinate the first Basque International Master in the area of Quantum Technologies - BIM Quantum -, in collaboration with the Directorate of University Policy and Coordination of the Basque Government and the universities of the SUV. This action is part of the Framework Strategy Universities + Euskadi Basque Country 2030 presented by the Basque Government in 2024.
The Framework Strategy drawn up by the Basque Government aims to be a new lever for boosting the internationalisation of the Basque University System (SUV), as well as its constitution as a pole for the generation, attraction and retention of local and international talent.
This framework recognises the value of universities and research centres of excellence as ambassadors of the Euskadi Basque Country brand in the world. For this reason, its 3 areas of action are:
1. Training, both for students and university staff.
2. Research and knowledge transfer.
3. Relationship between the university system and the business fabric and society (University+Business+Society).
4gune in the BIM project
To implement the Framework Strategy, the Basque Government has defined 133 actions, including the Basque International Masters (BIM) project. This project seeks to promote macro-groupings of specialised academic qualifications at master's level and the integration of the offer of all the universities in the Basque Country from the dual perspective of research and business.
As the first action of this project, 4gune will undertake the structuring of the first Basque International Master in the area of Quantum Technologies - BIM Quantum -, in collaboration with the Directorate of University Policy and Coordination of the Basque Government and the universities of the SUV, and with the support of Euskampus Fundazioa.
